The consultation for orthodontic treatment is free and requires about 45-60 minutes. We ask that parents come with children under the age of 18, if at all possible. At this appointment, we will.

• Describe the problems & treatment
• Give you the written cost & payment plan

The doctor will examine you (or your child) and discuss a plan of treatment that specifically fits your needs. We would also like to show you some photographs of other patients with similar problems so that you can see how their treatment was completed.

When your questions have been answered, a staff member (a "treatment coordinator") will cover payment plans, insurance matters, and appointment scheduling. To begin treatment at this appointment, a payment will be needed for radiographs & photographs.

Many patients are not ready for treatment when examined by Dr. Parsons. In those cases, the patient is placed on a recall program and the family is sent a reminder in the future to come back for an orthodontic re-evaluation.

If braces are needed, the treatment can usually be started at the next appointment, 1-2 weeks later. This allows Dr. Parsons time to study your radiographs thoroughly before the appointment.
